So Snug

I saw a picture of you today. It is on my computer at work. You are less than one week old, laying in your Moses basket, swaddled in your mother's favorite color, green. You look so snug and beautiful. It is hard to believe how much you have changed in so short a time. Still so sweet and beautiful, just not so tiny!

Your first trip to the zoo!

How auspicious! I heard that you really liked the penguins, as well as many of the other animals, including the crows in the picnic area. We have some penguins at our house - a whole family of penguins. Well, they aren't real. They are porcelain, but very, very attractive. As far as having a family of penguins in the house, they are just perfect. You will be here soon to see them! We cannot wait.

Sorry and happy?

Yes - sorry and happy! We are so, so sorry to hear that you are still sick. But, we are very happy to hear that you have an antibiotic and will be feeling well soon. We think it is really great that so far you like the taste of your medicine, too! We will be very, very happy when you are completely well. Lots of love and good wishes to you.

Photographing baby

We are taking a photography class. We need it! Hopefully, by the time we finish we will be better at taking pictures. I just thought of something funny - all the pictures we have with you in them are just perfect! I feel such love for you when I look at them. Maybe, we just don't have the right subject matter at hand!

Bookstores

I heard that you were headed to a bookstore today. Lucky girl! We love bookstores.

Baby birds?

I saw a picture of a sugar maple leaf wreath today. It was made with yellow, gold, orange and red sugar maple leaves with some green moss tucked here and there. The evenings have been cooler lately, and I have been looking forward to putting our Autumn wreath on our front door. But, guess what! There is a family of baby birds living in my Summer wreath. I will have to wait until they leave their nest. What do you think about that?
