A Special Rose

I just noticed this picture today. It reminded me of visits to my mother's parents when I was young. My grandfather loved to garden and he tended his roses with great care. During the warmer months we toured his gardens every time we visited. I must admit that I found these tours a bit boring at times, but I loved the fact that he loved his roses so much.

Skillful standing!

That was some pretty skillful standing that you were doing when we chatted today! It was so much fun to see you eye-to-eye, and to see you clap and wave! We enjoyed meeting Claudette, also.

Playing on a late summer afternoon

I always enjoy seeing the "big" kids play with the "little" kids when we get together with extended family. It is hard to believe that there have been so many children over the years! So far, you are one of ten great-grandchildren. There will be so many more! I wonder how many... Twenty? Thirty? We will see!

Hi sky!

Sitting on my lap, you leaned your head back and looked straight up into the sky. I looked up, too. It's been a long time since I've seen the sky from that perspective. Thank you!

Yellow!

Yellow is one of my favorite colors! I love your yellow and white dress. Grandpapa has too many favorite colors to list. He likes orange sunsets, green grass, blue skies, white clouds, and red roses, just to name a few! What about you?
